Industry’s first-ever vendor-independent integrated testing of UFS hosts and storage devices covers all standards used in UFS including MIPI® M-Phy®, UniproSM and JEDEC® UFS protocol
Santa Clara, CA. August 5, 2015 – The Universal Flash Storage Association (UFSA), an open trade association chartered to promote and support the adoption of UFS, today announced results of its first Compliance Workshop hosted at Keysight Technologies in Santa Clara. The goal of these workshops is to validate the set of industry standard test procedures selected by the UFSA for UFS product certification. Developing the test matrix and proving the test procedures is a key step toward the deployment of a formal UFS certification program.
“This is the first time that the procedures selected in the test matrix have been executed by independent test engineers who were not responsible for the development of a UFS host or device,” said Perry Keller, Chair of the UFSA Compliance Committee and UFSA Board member. “Enabling reliable and efficient execution of these tests is essential to enabling independent UFS certification. The Workshop exceeded all expectations, testing UFS hosts, devices and intellectual property (IP) implemented on a wide variety of platforms.”
